But there are many. And I like that. Very much so. Maybe it is because I am not a camper myself. At least not in the classical sense. I admire families who go out with children, tent, air mattresses, camping stoves, stuffed animals and felt 183 other things and embark on an adventure in wind and weather. I myself would probably already write a checklist for the checklist when packing. Perhaps this is why I can put myself so well into people who are camping for the first time. They often have the same questions.
Which tent to buy?
Is a small motorhome enough?
Do you really need that much equipment?
What if something is missing?
And above all:
Are we even getting it right?
The answer is almost always:
Yes.
Camping is much easier than many think.
Therefore, before arrival is sometimes phoned, emailed or asked. Which tent could be useful? Which space size fits. Whether there is electricity, which cable, or shopping.
That's kind of part of it. At least as important is the arrival.
Because who is traveling for the first time with caravan or motorhome, does not want to have to park backwards between two oaks. So we see which place fits well. Where the paths are short. Where maneuvering works as relaxed as possible. Where large and small tents feel comfortable. And where you realize after five minutes: Oh, so. That is not at all complicated.
I like this very moment.
When tension becomes anticipation.
When questions disappear.
And when people realize that camping does not mean to be able to do everything perfectly.It's just starting.
