Why there is JUHUU

Perhaps the world does not need another camping portal. 

But maybe she needs a place where real people tell real stories again.

Today, millions of people share their experiences on the Internet. Between algorithms, advertisements, influencers, AI-generated content and perfectly staged images, however, it is becoming increasingly difficult to identify what is truly real. Who was actually there? Who really sits by the campfire? Who is telling an experience – and who is selling something?

JUHUU was born out of the desire to move closer together again. Not as a platform. But as a community.

For people who love camping. For people who want to know which place smells like coffee and pines in the morning. Where the most beautiful sunsets are waiting. Where children make friendships. Where hosts are still hosts.

JUHUU should become a place where experiences are more important than reach.

Where recommendations come from people who have really been there. 

Where you can share stories instead of collecting likes. Where campsites, camping guests and hosts talk to each other. Without advertising. Without artificial ranges. Without the next algorithm change.

The content belongs to the people who create it. The pictures remain their pictures. The stories remain their stories.

Of course, every movement starts small. With the first people. With the first stories. With the first contribution.

I'll spend one on it, in the bar.

Virtually, though.

But from the heart.

Until right at the counter.

PS The idea for JUHUU was not born in an office. But on Knattercamping. There the same question came up again and again:

"Do you remember a really nice campsite?"
